Love You More Each Day

Welcome once again my friends.

I am posting from my recovery bed today (well the sofa, as I can't lay flat just yet lol). Had a bit of a rough night last night and a very long day too, so I shall keep this short and hopefully sweet, but here is my weekend card as promised.

The supplies used here are

* Grey cardstock from my stash
* Sizzix Thinlits Fancy Frame Rectangle
* First Edition Premium Paper Pad  - Sweet Nothings
* Crafts-Too Small Heart Embossing Folder
* Nellies Choice Vintasia Die - Marriage
* Marianne Design Rolled Flower Dies
* Cheery Lynn Olive Branches
* Pearls from my stash

I decided against and additional sentiment due to the wording already on the card.

Well my friends, I'm sorry about the flying visit today. Hopefully I will be much recovered in no time at all.

Oh, another 4.5lbs off at weigh in this week!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

Take care

Jo xx

Amazing Paper Grace - Be Mine

Welcome back friends and visitors.

How was your weekend? Mine was a rather chilly one lol.
I hope you all made it through the weekend with the snow that some of us had.

I'm quickly stopping by today to post my 'unofficial' Amazing Paper Grace card. Becca is extremely busy with the launch of her new die collections, (Yes....two new collections!) so there will be no share of today's card on her blog. It seemed a shame not to share it with you as I think it's really rather sweet.

So here it is

The supplies used here are

* Foundation Cardstock - Rich Red
* Make & Create Design Pad - Pretty Red Classics
* Spellbinders Classic Ovals
* Justrite stamp set - Antique Valentine Tags One
* Roses and leaves I had already pre-made from a past project
* Pearls from my stash

A really quick make for today but I really rather like it.
To stop the card rolling onto a side I simply levelled off the oval at the rear of the card, ever so slightly.

I'm amazed I'm managing to keep on with my 'Romance' theme. Can I keep it up until Valentines Day?

Well friends, this is my last post before my operation on Friday. All being well I will be posting again on Saturday. If I don't then it can only mean that things didn't go according to plan!

I have a busy week trying to get everything organised so that I'm not missed at home for a whole day lol. Right now I'm dashing off for my second weigh in at SW, so fingers crossed.

If you fancy popping over to Becca's blog, you can do so HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Have a wonderful week friends

Jo xx

Every Love Story

Welcome back dear friends and visitors. I hope your week has been a good one, despite the weather!

We managed to escape the worst of the weather here on the East Coast. We just had those biting, icy winds, rain and general gloom to contend with.

So, I think I have managed to get ahead with my makes, in preparation for my hospital visit. I should be in and out within the day, so all being well, I should be posting as usual on Saturday (27th). I will, however, prepare my blog on Thursday evening....just in case!! I will of course still have a post for you all this coming Tuesday, as normal.

Well, I have managed to keep up with the 'Romance' theme for you. I think I'm quite getting to like it.

So here is my latest card for you

The supplies used here are

* Pink cardstock from my stash
* Crafter's Companion Die'sire Edge'ables - Victoriana
* Crafts - Too A4 Embossing Folder
* Amazing Paper Grace/Spellbinders Wedding Collection - Decorative Swallowtail Tags
* Trimcraft - PS I love You Premium Paper Pad
* Sizzix Framelits - Hearts
* Nellie's Choice Vintasia Dies - Marriage
* Amazing Paper Grace/Justrite - Elegant Celebrations Stamp Set
* Pearls from my stash

Now, I didn't use the Victoriana header die in the way you're supposed to use it. It made my card look far to wide and it felt pretty flimsy. Plus I wasn't keen on how the back of it looked. Instead I cut it twice and simply glued the top bits together!

I used the de-bossed side of the embossing folder and used 2 of the Sizzix Heart dies to create the lower frame.

I adore the Vintasia die and love, love, love the colour of the cardstock. I must try to get back to the shop I bought it from and pray they still have it in stock! I totally fell in love with Becca's stamp set when it arrived and couldn't wait to use it. It will be a 'go to' set I will use again and again, I'm sure.

So there you have it. I do hope you like it and aren't bored of the theme just yet.

For those of you who are waiting to here about my Slimming World progress, I managed to lose 3.5lbs! I was more than happy with that as I didn't start properly till the Thursday, 2 days late!!
Let's hope my hospital visit doesn't throw me off course lol.

Well, my friends, thank you so much for your visit today.  Please pop back again on Tuesday. As you know, Tuesday's are usually my Amazing Paper Grace day, however there will be no official post for Becca's website this week. I have a card already created for it, so I will still post it for you but you will only be able to view it here and not on Becca's blog.

Have a fabulous weekend my friends and take care

Jo xx

Amazing Paper Grace - With Love

Hello friends and visitors.

My, how the weekend flew by! We are hurtling headlong towards February....my Birthday month (it's a big one. But the less said about that the better!).

I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend and are ready for my latest Amazing Paper Grace card.

So, without further ado (I'm dashing off to Slimming World for my first weigh-in!), here is today's card.

The supplies used here are
(All dies used here are Amazing Paper Grace/Spellbinders)

* Foundation cardstock - Wisteria
* Standard Circles Large
* Grand Impressabilities - Fancy Flourish
* Freebie sentiment stamp
* Pearls from my stash

Nothing too complex on today's card, only the corners from the Annabelle's Trousseau set were used to create the little centre frame. The rest is as it looks.

So, by now I'm sure, you will all have seen Becca's sneak peek of the totally awesome 3D Vignette collection? Well, she's totally spoiling us all now with yet a another 'sneak peek' from another new collection!!
Head on over to Becca's blog HERE for a preview of her new 'Romancing the Swirl' collection. Even the name is adorable and so are the dies.

Well, I have another busy day ahead, and I'm still on a mission to get as many cards completed before my Op!
Wish me luck for my weigh-in....I need it lol.

Have a wonderful week my friends and take care

Jo xx

Heartfelt Congratulations

Welcome, once again, friends and visitors.

I hope you have all had an enjoyable week? I've been busy spending time with my Daughter this week, shopping and reminiscing over old photographs! She wanted to 'steal' a few for her new home.
She even tagged along to Slimming World with me, for moral support, and she's actually following along with the plan. So far she's smashing it! So far I'm just plodding along with it lol.

I also got word that a small operation, that I've been on the waiting list for, will take place in 2 weeks time! I'm certainly not looking forward to it, but it's long overdue. I should be in and out in a day so, hopefully, I will be posting as usual. I shall endeavour to get ahead with my cards, just in case.

So, I managed to keep the 'Romance' theme going for you today. Maybe because I missed out on receiving any wedding cards etc. The Hubster and I, for personal reasons, decided we would just take ourselves off to get hitched! No major planning, stress or expense but none of the nice, sentimental things either.

So here is today's card for you (and me lol).

The supplies used here are
* Coconut White Foundation Card
* Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions Gemini Dies - Ursa
* Crafts-Too A4 Embossing Folder
* Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions - Delicate Adornment Die
* Nellies Choice Vintasia - Swallow VINDO42
* Spellbinders Shapeabilities - Blooming Collection
* Cheery Lynn - Tea Rose Small
* Ivory Smooth 100gsm Paper
* All Occasions Freebie Stamp Set
* Pearls and stamens from my stash

I haven't gone overboard on the pearls today, although I really wanted to lol.
The 3 little hearts are the 'waste' from the Lunette Arched Borders from my last card.
I had to make a flying visit to my local stationers to find a paper as close to the Coconut White cardstock as possible. I managed to find some card inserts, which had to do, that matched pretty well and they were on sale! I wrapped the Tea Roses around a single pink stamen but its really not easy to see.

So there you have my card for the weekend, I really hope you like it.

I really appreciate your continued visits, thank you all so much. Remember, Tuesday is Amazing Paper Grace time, so please stop by if you can.

Whatever your plans for the weekend are, have a good one and take care friends

Jo xx

Amazing Paper Grace - On your Special Day

Welcome back friends and visitors.

Today's Amazing Paper Grace card is a continuation of my 'Romance' theme. I'm not sure how long this theme will last, me not being overly romantic in nature (lol), so I'd best stick with it whilst the mood takes me!

Without any further preamble, here is today's card for you.

The supplies used here are
(All dies are Amazing Paper Grace/Spellbinder dies from the Chantilly Paper Lace collection)

* Papermania Capsule Collection Cardstock - Oyster Blush
* Coconut White Cardstock
* Small embossing folder (unmarked)
* Crafters Companion Beatrix Potter Sentiment stamp set
* Pearls etc from my stash

The Bella Rose Lattice frame I cut down a little to give a smaller frame and used 2 of the Lunette Arched borders for the centre part.

I used the debossed side of the embossed centre so I could sit the little pearls in the dimples.

Nothing too complex on this card, so very quick to complete. Once again I added a generous helping of pearls to finish.

Now, I'm sure most of you crafty people out there will already be aware of the 'sneak peek' from the most incredibly talented Becca Feeken. It showcases just a little of her upcoming range of 3D dies. I'm certain that this collection will sell like hotcakes, so pre-order if you can or ask your local stockist to get them in! If you missed it you can see it HERE.

Well friends, I better get a wriggle on today. I'm showing my daughter how to use her new slow-cooker before hauling myself off to Slimming World!!! If I'm honest, I know exactly what to do, it's just making myself actually do it! I've been very busy eating my way through all the naughty things in preparation lol.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you liked my card for you today. Please stop by again at the weekend, if only to see if my romantic inspiration has lasted!

Have a wonderful week, and take care,

Jo xx

Congratulations

Hello there friends and visitors.

I hope you have all enjoyed the first week of 2018!

The weather, predictably, seems to be taking a turn for the worse. We've had some mighty strong winds of late. Poor old Hubster got attacked by a wheelie bin on his early morning dog walk the other day. The whole garden was strewn with litter and the streets were pretty difficult to negotiate for debris and overturned bins!
Having said that, I'll take the strong winds over the few feet of snow our American friends have been experiencing! Take care if you're over there my friends.

Well the shops are full of Easter Eggs and we haven't even got to Valentines day yet, lol. With Valentines creeping up on us, I must have developed a bit of a romantic streak! I think Christmas and New Year are typically when a lot of couples get Engaged to be married and it's kind of set me off on a bit of a theme.

So here is my first 'Romance' inspired card of the year.

The supplies used here are

* Cream and Coconut White cardstock
* Crafts-Too A4 Embossing Folder
* Amazing Paper Grace/Spellbinders Designer Series - Graceful Corners One
* Spellbinders Nestabilities Card Creator - 5x7 Reflective Moment
* Crafters Companion Signature Collection - Shabby Chic Filigree Flourish
* Amazing Paper Grace/Spellbinders Venice Lace Collection - Cinch and Go Flowers Two
* Sheena Douglas Perfect Partners - Fanciful Fuschia
* Pearls from my stash
* Justrite Clear - Large Fancy Sentiments stamp set
* Metallic gold marker pen
* Creative Expressions Metallic Gilding Wax - Enchanted Gold

I used the larger of the two sentiment tags from the Reflective Moments set.
The fold over corners and the flourish from Becca Feekens Graceful Corners One.
I only used the leaves from Sheena's Fanciful Fuchsia's to tuck under the flowers. I just love how those turned out. I used a little blending solution to make a paint with the gilding wax before applying to the flowers. It was far easier than trying to apply it with my finger. But the finger sufficed for the other areas.
The flowers centres I fashioned from some air dry clay, florists wire and painted with the gilding wax.
All finished off with lashings of pearls!

Just a quick heads up for you friends and Becca fans. Have you seen the 'sneak peek' of the new Amazing Paper Grace dies? If not pop over to Becca's blog HERE. I strongly recommend pre-ordering this collection from your preferred web store, or even better, asking your local stockist to order them in. I have a feeling these will sell out fast, particularly in the UK!

So there is my card for the weekend friends. I hope you like it as much as I do. Whatever your plans for the weekend, have a great one and take care, wherever you are.

Thank you for your visit today and please stop by again on Tuesday for my next Amazing Paper Grace creation!

Jo xx

Amazing Paper Grace - Tallulah Frill

Welcome friends and visitors, new and old, to my first Amazing Paper Grace card of 2018!

I hope you all had a wonderful Hogmanay and are ready to take on another new year. The Viking Fire Festival was great, quite a show for a small seaside fishing village! I hope you all had a great time, however you chose to spend it.

Let's hope this year brings joy and happiness to all. I'm certainly going to strive to make this a really great, more productive, year. (Although I don't think I did too badly last year).

So here is my very first card of the year for you.

The supplies used here are
* Cream, Pink and Coconut White cardstock
* First Editions premium paper pad - Sweet Nothings
* Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Ovals large
* Dali Arts Circle and Square Sentiments stamp
* Stamens and pearls from my stash.
* Distress ink and re-inkers

I just love the Tallulah Frill frame. It's so delicate looking and versatile!
I used the corner die from Annabelle's Trousseau, the tails from one of the Vintage Pierced Banners and a Classic Oval for the centre.

I was aiming for a pretty, delicate, feminine look for this card. I hope I have achieved that.

Hop on over to Becca's website to view all her amazing creations HERE.

Well my friends. There you have my first card of the year and I really hope you like it.

Once again I would like to thank you all for your visits and wonderful comments and wish you all a happy and productive 2018!

Until next time, take care and have a great first week,

Jo xx
