Best Friends Forever

Good morning my crafty friends. I do hope you've all had a good week and that your weekend has got off to a great start.

I had a lovely visit from my darling Daughter for a few days. It's always great to have her home so I can spoil her a little. It also makes a nice change from being the only female in the house! We always have such a laugh and a giggle when she's here.

Well, as I'd spent a few days girly shopping etc, todays card needed to be one that was quick to put together. I did, however, take myself out of my comfort zone somewhat and delved into my stamp stash!

So here is todays card.

Now, I don't do a huge amount of stamping as I'm basically a 'die' and 'flower' addict. Stamping can seriously frustrate me when it doesn't turn out as perfect as can be (or as I can achieve) first time. Therefore I took the plunge and bought a stamping platform.

I opted for a Crafts Too - Press to Impress, as it was slightly cheaper than some of the other platforms and I wasn't really sure how much use I'd get out of it. I am super pleased with it! Now I use it all the time for my stamped sentiments and other little bits of stamping I do.

So, here are the supplies used on todays card
* Indigo Blue 'Floral Swirl' stamp
* Spellbinders labels thirteen
* Spellbinders labels six
* Justrite vintage oval labels stamp set
* Elizabeth crafts bunch of flowers
* M&C Boutique leaf die
* Joy Crafts decorative chalks Pearl
* Ranger archival inks in Shadow Grey, Watering Can and Jet Black

I've also had some advice from a wonderful lady on photography. I'm trying to improve the quality for you all so please feel free to leave a comment on how you think I'm doing.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend. Thank you for visiting today and please stop by again next week.

  1. Beautiful card, love all those flowers...I too am a die and flower person for my cards and not really into stamping, but have been toying with the idea of a stamping platform, good to see you recommend the Crafts Too one, been looking at it and like you do not want to spend an excessive sum on one....but I just love this card....Have a great time with your daughter...luv Ursula xx

    2. I found an offer on a Tim Holtz stamping platform, so have bought it...now to play with it...I did a workshop the other day on stamping with the Altenew three dimension stamps with one and the card was beautiful...so part of my reason to get a platform as the stamps have to be placed perfectly...not possible by hand...so thank you for your inspiration....Sorry daughter has had to leave, but look forward to the next time....luv Ursula xx

    3. Well done on your find Ursula. I too have a lovely, layering Altenew stamp which I have never used for the very same reason lol. We have no excuse now. I think my daughters visit has made her want to move back closer to home. All being well, she could be here by Christmas!
      I look forward to seeing your perfectly stamped creation xx

  2. Hello Jo,
    So happy you have joined Becca with Amazing Paper Grace. Your creations are as sweet and breathtaking as hers are. Look forward to seeing more. Love the way you used the flowers...my thing too. We are moving to Texas to be closer to our children as well and cannot wait for that to happen. Continued success to you. Best regards, Sara Alford
